The Department of Social Work at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, will organize the symposium titled “1st Social Work Symposium: Family” on 23 December 2025, in line with the declaration of 2025 as the Year of the Family and with the aim of addressing the family institution from a multidisciplinary perspective and enhancing knowledge in this field.

The symposium is open to participants from universities in Türkiye and abroad, non-governmental organizations, the education sector, health and social services, environment and disaster management experts, migration and media professionals, local administrations, and all related fields and institutions. This gathering, which encompasses all age groups related to family (children, youth, adults, older adults) and every scientific discipline, aims to bring together experts from different fields to develop collaborative solutions. Presentations will be delivered in person.
